🛞 Ford Diagnostic Software Subscription is now an all-in-one solution, meaning you only need one subscription to activate FJDS, IDS, FDRS, and Ford DiagNow (Mobile App for VCM Lite).
Out With The SKU, In With The New
Ford has announced some major updates in their subscription services for FJDS, FDRS, IDS, and Ford DiagNow (For VCM Lite). We won't go into a lot of detail from the announcement email they sent a while back, but we will outline what that means moving forward with Ford subscriptions with AE Tools.
Old Licensing Model Has Come To An End
The license codes that you would input into IDS/FJDS (20-digit code) have expired as of September 15th. All license-based software will cease to function entirely on October 15th.
How Access Will Work
Ford has now implemented their software updates and licenses within your MotorcraftService.com email address. This means:
Your software access will be linked to your account, not a computer.
No need to call support when switching PC's, just ensure you have the software installed and log in to your account via MotorcraftService.com.
All-In-One Software Solution
As we mentioned earlier in the blog, Ford has decided to combine all their subscriptions under one subscription. This means one license will work for: Ford IDS, FJDS, FDRS, and Ford DiagNow (VCM Lite with Mobile App).
No need to purchase different subscriptions for each device, your software license will work work through OEM or aftermarket interfaces as one.
VCM Lite subscriptions CAN be purchased through AE Tools & the DiagNow app can be downloaded through your app store (iOS, Android).
Subscription Management
Users can still purchase subscriptions from AE Tools. The process has not changed.

Software SKU and prices have updated as outlined below.

2 Day Subscription (2 Days) - $165
1 Month (30 Days) - $400
1 Year (365 Days) - $1,600
One subscription equals ONE user with up to 3 concurrent logins (Geo-Fenced & IP Tracked).
NOTE: ACCOUNT SHARING WILL NOT BE ALLOWED.
Software Installation Process and Notes
Due to the new changes in the Ford Diagnostic software you will need to follow these procedures to ensure you can access the software without issues:
Download the new software from MotorcraftService.com
You MUST UNINSTALL all older versions of IDS/FJDS before installing the new software version.
NOTE: Use the "Clean Uninstall Utility" for best results. You may also use third-party apps to fully delete the old software and additional files that may be left in your system after uninstalling the software.
