Here at AE Tools & Computers have serviced the aftermarket industry for over 20 years, from automotive to fleets and more! We are more than just your aftermarket shop, we provide OEM level tools for dealer-level access, OE software, laptops, and expert technical support for all of it.
As the industry evolves, we stay at the forefront of the changes, making sure your business can stay on top of it. We carry a large collection for all kinds of fields — from TPMS solutions, Heavy-duty, ADAS, EV, Diagnostics, Oscilloscopes, J2534 and much more.
What 2024 brought us
As we started the year 2024, we wanted to provide our customers with a vast catalog of products. We added new partners and distributors to our collection of tools, maintaining a brand-agnostic vision. No longer do you need to buy a whole new brand of tools to get the job done — choose the tools you want from the brands you already use. Here are some of our latest brands to hit our shop. One of our long-time friends that we wanted to share the spotlight by adding their robust OE-centric aftermarket solutions. Bosch provides OE-level and spec-level diagnostics on most makes and models, working alongside the OE's ensuring a similar OE repair experience. They carry many tools for TPMS, Diagnostics, ADAS, Heavy-Duty, and more.

We wanted to expand our laptop line to complement our popular Durabook Multi-Partitioned laptop. Brand new website smell

One of our most significant initiatives of 2024 was revamping our website completely. One of our most important issues was running out of an outdated platform that prevented us from updating tools quickly and adequately and providing the information needed to help customers make the right decisions. Product management, customer accounts, and user flow were other tasks that had to be restructured entirely from the ground up.
We worked with our team and current customers to ensure we created an e-commerce site that was accessible, easy to navigate, provided enough information, and made it easy for customers to contact us for anything they needed. Part of building a site is giving the customer access to someone for help and allowing them to find the answer they need without leaving the site for anything else.
User experience and interaction were essential to meet our standards and the current model on most sites. With newer bells and whistles, we didn't want to go overboard and add anything unnecessary. One of our most prominent add-ons was our live chat service and Accessibly accessibility app. Getting the answers you wish directly from our team and adjusting the site to your needs gave the user more power than our previous site.
As we continue to develop our site, we always ensure it's user-first and user-friendly. As we enter the new year, you may see some changes, such as better and well-needed improvements. Keep an eye out!
New support system, same excellent expert help

Another initiative we have wanted to spearhead for a long time is our support system. If you were around before our new system and our previous one under Netsuite, you most likely remember how much our support system has changed over the years. We need to double down on the right system to help us understand trends and the necessary analytics to serve our customers best while holding ourselves accountable to our goals and metrics.
Finding the right system
Searching for the right support system that fits our needs and is as modular as possible was a difficult task that we started to notice after a while. It wasn't so much that we didn't like the existing platforms, but we later realized how unique our case was. We needed one that was versatile, able to adapt to our use case, and modular in many ways.
From a source, we landed on a team led by Mohan at Collabtic, who has experience developing service workspaces for other large and small companies, especially in the automotive industry. Our case was unique in the aspects mentioned before. Still, we had specific metrics we kept track of to ensure our team was driving pure results in their calls, maintaining call times consistently, and finding where the cracks were in our processes and training.

Collaboration, modularity, and adapation
These specifications and features we needed weren't native anywhere nor used in other support services that Mohan and his team had created before. Collaboration from our team allowed us to stay on the same page, and their tenacity has helped us build a platform that works perfectly for our customer base — especially after testing with a selection of customers — we had found the right systems needed for our team and our customers.
Although the platform is not at its fullest capability — because we love to stretch the limits — we will continue to develop the platform to provide the best customer support to our community.
Faster support, with a faster name — Redline Support

We wanted to do a facelift on our current premium support name. APEX was a great name, but at times it was conflicting with another popular convention... AAPEX. To avoid confusion, we re-branded it to Redline (Premium) Support. This fit with our efforts to push the line on speed and get you help in under 30 minutes.

We exist in the digital world for now, so we must make our site feel like home as much as possible. We look forward to improvements that will make the shopping experience easier to navigate, ensure that items are readily available, and provide you with the information you need from all aspects of our site.
